Supervised Visitation (SV) Services

Supervised Visitation (SV) is a family-focused service designed to support safe, positive, and meaningful interactions between children and their parents or guardians following a child’s removal from the parent’s care. The goal is to promote healthy parent-child relationships and support the family’s progress toward successful reunification.

Visits take place in a safe, structured, and natural setting with a qualified staff member present to monitor interactions, promote physical and emotional safety, and provide guidance as needed. Staff support parents in practicing positive parenting skills while identifying strengths and areas that may require additional support.

Areas of Support

Supervised Visitation may include:

  • Monitoring parent-child interactions to promote physical and emotional safety

  • Supporting positive communication and healthy parent-child relationships

  • Providing guidance and coaching on appropriate parenting skills

  • Helping parents practice effective supervision, engagement, and nurturing behaviors

  • Identifying and addressing concerns that may impact successful reunification

  • Supporting children and parents in developing trust and maintaining meaningful connections

  • Coordinating with referring providers and other members of the family’s support team
